Best Surfing Beaches in Lagos

1. Porto do Mos – Beach and reef break. Works best during winter (Nov-Apr) with large W swells and NW-NE winds. During the summer look out for winds from the SE. This southeast wind, also known as the Levante, is also a great time to find waves in Lagos.

2. Praia da Luz – Beach break, point break and reef break. Works best with a big W and hurricane swells during winter and NW-NE winds, or S swells during summer. Check the reef break in front of Rocha Negra at the eastern end of the beach.

3. Meia Praia – Beach break. Best near the river mouth near the harbour entrance. Works best with a hurricane W swell and NW-NE wind during winter, or SE swells with the Levante winds during summer.
